she/he dose awsome paintings go a head and please check him/her out !
would be cool to hear some feet back about the coloring ? so if you like it just drop a coment ^^
First, I need to congratulate you, this painting is just beautiful, the colors chosen were great and the design of the character too, the color of the skin and the highlights are great, this is hard to achieve.
I believe it was intentional to look less finalized, but it would be interesting to see how it would look if you had detailed it more and defined better some shapes, such as the buttons of the jacket or the highlight in the coat, since they are very different fabrics, they interact Differently with light.
Some points could be darker, to define better the shapes, as in the right arm. the shadow on the scarf is poorly defined, by the illumination on the face, it is understood that there should be a well-delimited shadow caused by the shoulder over the scarf.
The anatomy of the hand is wrong, too large compared to the body, and the bones all seem to be the same length, some study on it would be good.
I absolutely love the colouring here.
It looks sketchy and can see the strokes.
I think they make the picture look more interesting.
If anything that could be improved is try to make the colours of the coat and jacket a little bit different, maybe a different colour temperature.
For now everything looks a little mashed up together monotonously.
i try to get the shirt alittle bit more into the buleish brown
He is a very striking and serious looking person! You've done a good job with the proportions of the face and I like the prominence of his cheekbones. Although there's a lot of brown, it doesn't blend into it each other, each part of the coat is clearly shown. It's not very clear as to where his left arm is though that isn't a big issue. However, the fingers seem to be a bit longer than they should be, I feel that draws away from the good job you've done with the face and the right arm sleeve seems too short, it could do with being made a bit longer. It looks like his legs are crossed and if they are, the proportions are a little off in comparison to the position of where his torso would be. The leg is too close and parallel with his torso.
I really like your oil technique of how you gradually change from dark to light. Despite not blending the colours together, it still looks smoothly done yet adds a texture to the image.
This is quite a dark looking piece but the stark white background draws away from that. If you added a dark background, it would definitely add to this and make it a more well rounded piece, with a darker atmosphere.
Overall, I do really like this!
oh i did'nt see the thing with the fingers i think this whole thing is a fail in the perspective since the man in the ref. lead this body forward and yeah. i see what i can do do fix it ! c:
i tryed something totaly new with the colors so im glad that i looks not only good to me !
That is a cool color palette - I mainly look at classic paintings to get that dusted oil painting feel. I'm still sketching yours, will do what I can with canyon, but heads up background really isn't my forte haha.
i tryed a new color palette for this one it was one from N.C Wyeth since i love his colors soo mutch ^^
everythings allright if the canyon don't works out you can leave it out
